now, i dun hate Tom Cruise in the least (his religion and marriage hoo-ha notwithstanding) - at least he comes out with "entertaining" movies (IMHO), and that perhaps is enuff for me. as far away from the hollywood allure as i am geographically, i care not what a lousy humanbeing he might or might not be. i dun really care, innit? ~ *just entertain me* ~ ... and an effin' decade after M:I:1 (which i still think good spy-entertainment) and Tom's still at it. boy's got gumption, is all i can muster ...

and from the teaser, all we get to see is an angry Ethan Hunt (wif a new hairdo = longer than MI:1, shorter than the shaggydawg MI:2 *HAH*), a deliciously decent-villain in Philip Seymour Hoffman, quickshots of a gorgeous-looking Maggie Q and the beautiful night cityscape of Shanghai. and of coz the prerequisite carnage atop yet another generic a bridge, complete with flipping SUVs (ala Bad Boys 2, The Island et al). and i swear for a moment there was a Mr&Mrs Smith pose somewhere lor ... here's hoping the action ain't gonna be too-cringe-worthy-corny (think John Woo's M:I:2), as sure as it's gonna be OTT. courtesy of J.J.Abrams ... really, no flying doves, please ... *heh*
