The Ultimates Animated DVD:

seems to follow quite closely to Bryan Hitch's artwork (and Paul Neary of coz) on the first volume, which is of coz quite a blast and highly appreciative for us fanboys (IMHO) ... altho there's something to be said about the "translation" from comic-to-animated format, which most times looses the "edge" as it's "predecessors - as there is a need to cater to the "mass consumers" ... hence violence is reduced and changed, while matured-themes are toned-down ~ a fair fact and requirement, i suppose ... which at times leaves the hardcore fans high and dry, innit? but of coz who am i to complain about such things ... the fact that they're coming out with it (at all) is a kind step towards visual-comics-nirvana (seeing that the comic itself takes effin' too long to come out between each issues *URGH*)
... just hopin' this'll make it here to singapore shelves *sigh* ... altho it remains to be seem whether they'd show Captain America kicking Hulk's gamma-nuts! classic-moments as only comicbooks can afford ... *heh*
