comic of the week : next wave
:: COMICS ::
with Issue#2 just hit the local comicshops this week, i find my solemn-disposition broken into a thousand pieces of laughter and snirks, as only the incorrigible Warren Ellis could provide. and (of coz) he has myeternal gratitude ... with snappy and dark humoured hilarious dialogue, impossible (and yet fully possible *heh*) scenarios and situations, together with the (surprisingly) excellent illustrations of Stuart Immonen = puts this comic on the top of my dying-to-read-next-issue-LIST. (right alongside his Desolation Jones)
so what's NEXTWAVE about? read a WE-interview @ newsarama (becoz i is lazy to retype everything out here *bleh* :p) = in short: there's hot babes (Elsa and Tabby), disgrunted-androids, bizzare weapons of mass destruction, city-level carnage and dragons with purple-undies! *LOL*
it ain't about the "human drama", it ain't about "unsolved mysteries" and it sure ain't about "righteous superheroes" engaging in "politically correct" brouhaha (as much as i do enjoy alla them, mind) = tis about "fun" and this comic has it in spades ... go pick it up now, go! :)
