the strokes' first impression of earth

is it just me or does The Strokes sound like U2 (pre-Joshua Tree-era), with a tinge of the Psychedelic Furs? not that im complaining mind, becoz The Strokes' First Impressions Of Earth; truly rawks and fill up the wannabe-stadium-arena of thy ears with frenzied energy and muddled guitar licks galore ... but i haveta say, at the end of the day; alla the songs sound the same to me and i can hardly pick up any singular tracks of preference, besides the two listed below:
