world cup soccabot watch

16 countries. 4 to a team.
a team of four customized Soccabots!


an initiative borne from Toydigger.nl, together with Hammeractive has started a custom competition to run alongside the World Cup Soccer finals in Germany! 16 countries will deliver a team of 4 customized-Soccabots by artists from that country. A shop or designer will function as "Coach" ~ currently the teams are:

03. Futureplastik (UK)
04. Toydigger (Netherlands) 'natch :)

4 countries down, 12 more to go! (this event is by invitation only, so look lively folks!)

an online poll @ www.hammeractive.com will determine the winning team; to receive the Golden Soccabot and an exhibition is planned in Germany during the FIFA World Cup.

personally, i think this is a brilliant idea and concept and at this day and age of collaborations; is what would bring the global-toy-community together, one way or another! (tis too bad singapore's soccer-team sucks balls is not included in the lineup :p) and i can only wish all participating teams: break a leg the best of luck! :)
