Download a free spiderman or whatever. Do yourself a BIG favor and BUY the sandman. You won't believe your eyes. Downloading this classic story means you're a cheap bastard, period. But then again, issue 8 is better than 1 so that will serve you right :D
this is for those who've NOT read Sandman before and have no inclination to even BUY a copy of Sandman (regardless that issue#1 is way off the aftermarket-prices and is only available with the "Preludes and Nocturnes"-TPB) - to whet their appetites = and then consider getting the TPB or any other superb Sandman comic.

and you are right, issue#8 is goodshitte and t'was when i decided to collect the entire series of Sandman and being able to afford #1-7 on tradepaperback only.
