the smell of a new vinyl, that is! a new to-fu joins the To-Fu Oyako family:

[info+images via Pixie] produced by PhalanX Creative, this 5"-tall vinyl-personification (or is that "vinylization"?) of the famous fermented beancurd (chòu dòufu = smells of rotting garbage but tastes like manna from heaven) comes in 3 colorways/versions: Regular/Ordinary version, Hot/Spicy version and the Wasabi version:
limited to 500pcs with a SRP: $1,000NTD / USD$31 = expect them re-stocked by mid-January 2007 (first batch sold-out?!) = *coolness*

Any clue of where this item can be purchased retail? I'm a "To-Fu Collector" and would love to pick this up.

ReplyDeleteaccording to Ray from Pixie - the original edition was first made available in Taiwan, and will be released overseas afterward (will confirm availability details when that happens ... while the Spicy edition will be a exclusive version that Pixie is planning now.

ReplyDeleteUpdate for YOU: talked to someone at pixie and there should be a kidrobot exclusive release in february of spicy smery. perhaps to be showcased at the standard show this coming weekend? who knows...
