of bearbrick success theories and series 13 secrets
i've stopped buying Medicom Be@rbrick sets since series 7 (or was it 8?) with singular purchase on and off thru the years, "for old times sakes" ... *heh*
and so it was withan itchy fingerz a festive-curiosity that i picked up a blind boxed Be@rbrick Series 13 after our family New Year lunch @ Suntec City yesterday, and i got the SF/Rei Ayanami (from Neon Genesis Evangelion)! and i haveta say, it does look pretty detailed and sci-fi-schweet :)

TinPo: "i think you're a hottie [o.0]"

Eva: "thanks! i think you're cute too (o_o)"
altho not enough to want to continue buying the entire setunless tis a firesale - except for maybe a single Horror/Hostel (well, nobody hue-n-cry over this lil fella, innit? :p) but had wondered about the thrill and joy of collecting Be@rbricks in the first place? mayhap t'was the sensation of holding a piece of plastic toy, cute as a bear-button and the fragility of them that draws us to collect them, en-mass? or just that they are "small" and compact enough for collectors to not feel that they're "spending too much" on a smaller piece of toy? SGD$6.90 for a moment's joy of vinyl is quite the bargain nowadays (IMHO), what with prices of toys going only on the up, innit? but that's just me :p
