project vinyl wraps while necromantic begins

the recently ended Project Vinyl and Short Fuse events @ the FX Show (featured here + here) saw "oversized robots, battle-ready Oni, and Mongo, the World's Largest Sea-Monkey - on hand to keep everything in order!"

Tony Shiau (aka. Nakanari of Me Llamo Jellyfish) says: "The exhibit was made possible with the support of DKE Toys, Jamungo, Popcling, One Day Masterpieces, and My Plastic Heart. Several artists were involved to create the gallery-style environment in the midst of rows of vendors and celebrity guests. These new and established artists included VanBeater from Jamungo, Rick Underwood, Inky, Liz Lorini, Pooka, Terribly Odd, and Shaunmadeus, who also contributed their painting skills to the wall of drawings. Whilst this was going on, guests to the area got to bob their heads to the musical stylings of DJs Dion and Juan, or get photographed by the talented Andre Palinkas. In the middle of it all was the Me Llamo Jellyfish tent, where visitors could get a glimpse at some prototypes of upcoming plush and figures by the team, sit and chat with the artists, or choose to purchase some cool pins and prints made especially for the show"

Tony ends with: "The goal of Project Vinyl is to help promote the introduction of designer toys and art into mainstream pop culture in the southeastern part of the United States. Florida can look forward to more exhibits like this one in the future, including the upcoming Necromantic show this February 10th, at Pink Ghost in Fort Lauderdale."
