robots in disguise versus earth's mightiest heroes

man, i really dunno about this:

Captain America, Iron Man, Luke Cage, Spiderman, Ms Marvel and the Falcon versus Bumblebee, Ratchet, Prowl, Jazz, Wheeljack and Optimus Prime (not counting Starscream and Megatron) in the New Avengers/Transformers four-issue comicbook miniseries, written by Stuart Moore with artwork by Tyler Kirkman [read more via]

"crossovers" have always been fanboys' wish-fulfillment, most times involving two concepts/characters (or more specifically, "properties") of different companies: meeting / fight each other / realize they've been played for fools or pwns / get together to fight the real menace / ad nauseam ... but always get a kick out of seeing them together at all, innit? nevermind the weak story ...

the only "memorable" crossover involving Transformers (for me) was Dreamwave's 2003 version, written by John Ney Reiber and penciled by Jae Lee ~ where it was set in WW2, and instead of fighting Nazi Germany, the world had to contend with Cobra's plans of world domination, with the Transformers transforming into vehicles of that era.

memorable mostly becoz of Jae Lee's gorgeous gloom-art, mind *heh*

now, i reckon they "worked", becoz of the interaction (and reaction) between "giant alien robots" and "human beings", the dynamics between total opposites, at least in power-levels etc ... but when you throw "super powered heroes" into the mix? would it be "just another day in the live of the X-Men versus Sentinels?" ... but of coz im over-reacting lah hahahaha .. we'll just haveta wait and see, innit?
