hot toy's 1/6 apollo creed versus ivan drago
now seriously, i'd never have expected Hot Toys to expand beyond their initial 2 ROCKY figures [blogged] but mayhap "nostalgia" is indeed a lucrative notion and im sure for retro-Rocky-fans, a welcomed addition to their collection, 1/6th or otherwise :p

the bout between Apollo Creed and Ivan Drago (Carl Weathers and Dolph Lundgren respectively, in Rocky 4) is figurerized in the 2nd series in Hot Toy's 1/6th Rocky Movie Masterpiece series [via] - with both slated for a 2nd quarter-release:
Apollo Creed is a 12"-er with clothes realistic to the movie (altho i can't really remember the hat :p LOL) and might make decent-ish kitbash-fodder for a Predator/Major George Dillon -figure base (not a convincing likeness tho) - but im thoroughly glad that there ARE muscled-AA bodies being produced, yeh? *heh*
whereas the surprising Ivan Dragostands towers at approximately 14" tall (*cool*), hereby providing some faith (in me) for the manufacturers, IMHO. well, either you could paint his hair black and do a Punisher, or take away his clothes and add a crossed-chest harness, a pair of fur-shorts, long hair and a sword, he might even swing it as He-Man, innit? LOL ... and yes, of coz a Red Scorpion works just as well too :p
but seriously, the reason i'd be getting thee guys (if i ever do) is when [1] i have spare money to spend [2] they're sold loose and with tremendous discount or [3] i need variety in my 1/6th bodies = and all are validexcuses reasons, mind ... *yep*

I think these toys are awesome looking and very detailed. I collect the Rocky figures, but the smaller versions. These are tempting to grab but i'm not living rich enough to grab these nor do I have the space for much larger figures. Once i have the space and money, i'd love to pick these up, great detail! And also Apollo deserves SOMETHING since he got screwed over by having to die in that movie, will remain the stupidest thing in the Rocky series. He gets hurt? FINE! But he DIES? COME ON!
