the world police

i always get a "warm-fuzzy-feeling" (probably ROTFLMAO-static-cling) whenever i watch Team America: World Police (over and over again) the reason being that i'd imagine everything was in 1/6th-scale! oh how wonderous what would have been! and i was going; "i want that vehicle! i want that furniture set! i want i want iwant!" - way too often i irritated even myself... and how wonderful the "sets" all were! needless to say, it was a movie that warmed wannabe-doll-miniature diorama-makers all over (or at least for me :p) *heh*

*more after the jump*

but of coz upon further online-scrutiny, i found out they were actually 1/3rd-scaled, with the marionettes towering at 23-inches ... which still didn't take away (much) of the intense wonder of how a movie like this ever got made in the first place! LOL - as rip-roaring farnie and non-PC as it was (complete with an exceptional puppet sex-scene, as only the creators of South Park could create *bwahahaha*), it will always be a slap on the old mid-60's Thunderbirds tv-series (utilizing "Supermarionation" - which i lurved, mind), but tis a slap on the bum, with a cheeky smile - a perpetual "Satire" with a capital "ASS" LOL

and im surprised nobody ever made (decent) toys of these folks! regardless that this post is 3 years late, here are some nifty links for your personal trip down marionette-memory-lane:
