the batman's new batpod

introducing the new Batcycle, dubbed: The BATPOD [via]

what's this pension penchant the Bat-folks have with "straddling"? or at least the need for leaning toward something to drive something? (like the Tumbler, where you had to go on your knees lean-forward and lie flat on your tummy to operate the vehicle?) ... wouldn't his Bat-nipples be crushed riding this? (oops, thinking of another flick, my bad) *heh* ... or maybe this is really a two-in-one vehicle and exercise-machine in one? or maybe i really just need to see it in motion / action ... :)

designed by Nathan Crowley (creator of the Tumbler), built by Chris Corbould and tested by stunt rider Jean-Pierre Goy - read more about the bullet dodging and gadget-laden Batpod (why couldn't they stick to "Bat-Cycle"?) @ LATimes.com ... or view the video of the Batpod (not exactly "in action", becoz tis stationary, but at least see it from different angles?) but if you're lazy, no worries, here are some screengrabs fer ya! LOL

as cool as it may seem, do you know what's "scary"? ... that eventually you might find a shrunken-down version of this sitting in your local toy-mall waiting for lil' tykes to paddle on them, Batsuits not included ... hell, i dont mind having a coupla 1/6th-versions for "my boys" tho, yeh? *heh*

  1. Now I KNOW the Batman franchise is getting rather old, but are you SURE you didn't mean 'penchant' when you typed pension? Lol, no offence meant, but it's only 8.50 in the morning, I'm in the office and almost choked on my coffee... It's early FGS XD

Great stuff on the blog though, read it every morning before work!

  3. First aff all, txs for your blog, you're doing a great job here!

Now, wow the Batsuit, the Batpod... I find them perfect these are the tools he needed and I'm sure there are more surprises to come...

Can you imagine Hot-Toys making a 1/6 Dark Knight with its Batpod?

  4. cheers for the support, Denis - really appreciate it :)))

oh man, if it's Hot Toys ima hoping it'll be within an affordable range... but i reckon one of the ways to differentiate from their previous BatmanBegins-release = is to do a boxed set with 1/6th figure AND bike! .... now, that would be schweet!

heck, if they could do a Ripley-Power-Rig, they can do a Batpod, yeh? :))))
