bape x dc comics superhero figures

something about the simplicity and non-emotional innocence these BAPE X DC Comics figures possess that makes them appealing to me ... no bulging muscles, no hero-poses ... first seen as quasi-accessories (even if they weren't LOL) with BAPE X DC Sweaters (the Batman-Hoodie is hilarious) and now bundled-up with a new series of DC-tees (hell, i WANT the white FLASH-icon tee, yo) including a new Wonder Woman figure = *neatoramic*

it's no big secret that Nigo (of A Bathing Ape) loves his comics, so this is a sweet homage and release (considering how strict DC is with their properties, yeh? ;p) i wonder if they're articulated? i wonder if they're available separately from the tees? *heh*

  1. I know that Nigo is a huge Mego Super Heroes fan, and the "sweetness" and understated charm of these seems very Mego to me. That hoodie recalls old removeable cowl Batman dreams.

  3. I wonder too if these figures are sold without the clothing, that would be cool.

I want the Batman figure but I bet it's $200.00, ha ha! BAPE is kind of pricey.

  5. Hi - I have a vintage BAPE hoodie with the same images of four superheroes (Batman, Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman). Can anyone help me find out more about its provenance? Pic attached.
