about that we3 movie

when i read that they were going to adapt Grant Morrison and Frank Quietly's WE3 as a feature-film? i was/am ecstatic! becoz plainly the story was magnificent and the concept heartwrenchingly good, IMHO.
producer, Don Murphy of Angry Films has this to say about Grant Morrison: "He wrote the comic and the script and it's the most insane mash-up in the history of movies if we pull it off. It's 'The Incredible Journey' meets 'Terminator.' Basically, the animals have been experimented on by the government and they're put into these combat suits, and then they escape and want to go home, and the government's like, 'They're heavily armed. Get them!' It's very cool." = effin' cool, indeed!
(which i reckon is quite hilarious, as i remember reading the tagline 'The Incredible Journey' meets 'Terminator.' on PopCultureShock's review of Issue#1 a ways' back :p)

personally, i reckon this would be a fab series of toys! i would love for it to be a combo of Plush (the Animals) and Vinyl (the individual Cyborg-suits) = *hawt*

WHAT IS WE3?

We3 is a three-issue comic book miniseries by writer Grant Morrison and artist Frank Quitely, who describe its kinetic style as "Western Manga". It was published in 2004 by the Vertigo imprint of DC Comics, with a trade paperback released in 2005. [wiki / comic reviewed HERE]

A dog named Bandit, a cat named Tinker, and a rabbit named Pirate are ultimate cyborg assassins...

In this wild adventure, the government has spent millions to fuse the firepower of a battalion with the nervous systems of a dog named Bandit, a cat named Tinker, and a rabbit named Pirate. As part of a program to replace human soldiers with expendable animals, the U.S. government has transformed three ordinary pets into the ultimate killing machines.

But now, those three animals have seized the chance to make a last, desperate run for 'Home'. A run that will turn into a breathless hunt to the death against the might of the entire military/industrial complex.
