disney's bloc28 toy
seen at the recent opening of Disney's Bloc28 Opening @ Vault28 was this stylized all-black 'block' vinyl figure of the Mickey Mouse (on shoes with wheels, no less LOL). as reported on VinylPulse [event image via], the simply-titled Bloc28-toy will be sold as a set with a New Era Hat. personally, im quite liking the all-black versus the "traditional' colored image i found on Bloc28's website tho (image below) *heh*
bridging urban art with their classic iconic characters, "BLOC28 is an art-based program with traditional works on canvas and board as the inspiration rather than a shoe design or some other object on to which an artist's work is photoshopped or "skinned." [via]. Bloc28 currently features collaborative works with Slick, Mear One, Steven Daily, David Flores and Greg 'Craola' Simkins - so will we be able to see any vinylized Disney-characters from these gentlemen anytime soon? :)
