and so today (August 9) is Singapore's National Day - which means tis a public holiday, and that the telly will be filled with even more mundanity, culminating in a televised Parade in the evening ...

... tis not that i am not don't feel patriotic, but the closest i can get is having a smile and chuckle seeing Jenny Quantum wearing the nation's flag ... and starting a new blog dedicated to (nearly) all things pop-culture in Singapore :)

and for all the touted "good times" Singaporeans are "reportedly" experiencing, there sure doesn't seem to have a lot of flags hung outside the flats tho ... *heh*
