bizarro number 1, lex luthor number 2

besides (the cliched) Lex Luthor, the only other memorable Superman-villain for me, would be Bizarro, whom i call the "Reverse-Superman". i always felt he was tragically hilarious, the opposite (in all regards) of Superman, rock-faced and speaking backwards, with warped values and principles, but never out of intrinsic evil intentions; Bizarro was always a tad 'silly' ... until i read Grant Morrison's All-Star Superman issues #7-8, where Clark journeyed to Bizarro World - and suddenly Bizarro had a 'personality' (but still as ugly) and his world had made (more) sense, sorta ... IMHO ;p

now DC Direct has made Bizarro into an articulated 13"-er tall Deluxe Collector Figure [details here / here] - complete with "Bizarro#1"-medallion, an extra set of hands - all packaged in a deluxe 4-color window box @ US$70 for a late-May 2008-drop ...

and with the upcoming Smallville Season 7's "Bizarro"-episode, maybe he'll have a chance to be in the media spotlight, if only to grab the limelight from Lex for a few moments - *heh*
*me am not Bizarro!*

"Bizarro is a fictional character, a doppelgänger of DC Comics’ Superman. Created by writer Otto Binder and artist George Papp, he first appeared in Superboy #68 (October 1958).

The original Bizarro was created when Superman was exposed to a "duplicate ray." In accordance with the science fiction concepts of Superman stories of the era, Bizarro relocated to "the Bizarro World," a cubical planet called Htrae which operated under "Bizarro logic" (it was a crime to do anything good or right) and which Bizarro populated with inverted versions of Superman’s supporting cast and other DC heroes."
