about that dunny series 4
and so Kidrobot's DUNNY Series 4 [blogged] was released 27th Sept (my on my bday no less LOL) and apparently has been sold out across the board @ major toyshops Stateside (if the info from KR-forum boards were anything to go by) - not too sure about Singapore tho (becoz i've been too strapped to dare step into any toyshops recently dammit) - and as much as i've been trying my darnnest NOT to go look into the Dunny-situation, i have succumbed ... and this is what i know have found thus far:

CHASE FIGURES TO LOOK OUT FOR:
- the above-shown is Frank Kozik's Rape Chase Dunny (the Golden Ticket-bounty) is based on Clockwork Orange's Alex's getup in the 'rape-scene' and has the most accessories in the series = *sweet*
- Tara McPherson's 1/96 (sorry i don't have larger images)
- Shane Jessup's Fortune Cat comes in 2 versions: a Closed-Eyes and an Open-Eyed version (seen in Dunny Factory) both comes with an 'ang-pao' (red-packet) - there's a debate on it's ratio for both open and closed tho [image by KR-member B Mi1d]
- Dalek's orange Diver (image-above / undetermined ration) - if only he had an accessory LOL
- Huck Gee's duo Skull-Dunnys in RED and a GID-Yellow = which i reckon are fab forms and adaptation of his icon, but am not too sure if it actually can be considered a "Dunny" tho, IMHO of coz :p (absolutely digging the wings down tha back tho LOL) [am sorry i lost whom these images belonged to :p]
i've not had the luxury of holding this series of dunnys in my own hands, so i am in position to comment on quality nor paint-apps (and looks like it'll be a looooooooooooong while when that happens dammit :p) but from online pictures, this series' colors are really popping, but not in a gaudy-way, like earlier series (IMHO) - but a more "controlled" palette, it seems - focusing on pastels and primaries, i reckon ... anyways, most online-pictures are never quite the same as comapred to "in-hand", IMHO :p
but gauging from online "feedback" (ie: KR-forums LOL) - apparently experiences have been pretty mixed, from multiple Golden-Tickets in a box (3!) to factory-defects and multiple-repeats - and that there was also a "surprise" variant in 12CARPILEUP's burger-duny, who came with either a regular-KETCHUP bottle-accessory, or the rarer MUSTARD ... which makes this series an exception from the earlier ones: ACCESSORIES! from bottles, to canes, to bling-chains, to lollies, bandanas, rayguns, red-envelopes, failing damsel-in-distress etc! and i personally appreciate the effort (if that be the case tho) to provide a higher-playability factor for these figures ...
.... just hope there aren't any clueless parents out there who'll buy their toddlers little pieces to swallow, yeh? *heh*
