additional developments regarding the previously-blogged Say Whaaat
exhibit in Washington DC, courtesy of organizer Daniel Barojas:

the exhibit will now have more permanence and will start from the Kickballers store in Georgetown (December 13-16th) and subsequently move to the ArtWhino gallery in Alexandria VA (December 18th - January 25th 2008) which will also have a separate closing reception/party January 25th. the "Say Whaaat" exhibit will have 3 receptions/parties and a duration of about one and a half months.

the current artist lineup for the Say Whaaat! exhibit now exceeds 100 artists & there will be more than 150 customized toys, with toys sponsored by: Toy2r with their toy line of Baby Qee’s / ToyQube with their Sharky and Kaniza line of figures / Miscreation Toys with their Think-Up bust / Bovinyl with their Moody figure. /// CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO

- The “Say Whaaat!” show will be on display from December 18th – January 25th.

- The January 18th monthly gallery opening for ArtWhino (717 N. Saint Asaph St. in Alexandria VA), will also feature all of the customized toys as part of the exhibit.

- There will be a closing ceremony/party for the “Say Whaaat!” exhibit on January 25th @t ArtWhino
- All customized toys will be placed on sale in eBay December 18-25th (eBay id: Say-Whaaat!!!)

- RSVP email will be open December 10-12th to allow public a chance to attend the opening party. (RSVP - saywhaaatdc@gmail.com)

- The artist lineup for the “Say Whaaat!” exhibit now exceeds 100 artists & there will be more than 150 customized toys.

- The “Say Whaaat!” exhibit is organized by the Mason Jar; founded by Daniel Barojas, it focuses on diverse, creative projects, which generate proceeds for various charities. The Mason Jar boasts a slogan of “Consciousness & Caring through Creativity” & through the “Say Whaaat” exhibit/auction The Mason Jar invites the Washington D.C. area to take the opportunity to contribute locally & share in that same ideal.

Well-recognized sponsors who donated product allowing more than 80 different artists to participate in this exhibit have made this amazing event possible. sponsors include:

- The “Say Whaaat” exhibit will also double as an art auction to generate funds to donate to The Capital Area Food Bank. All customized vinyl toy figures by participating artists will be auctioned on eBay; the auction date will be announced during the opening night & posted on the myspace page for “Say Whaaat”. The eBay ID for the auctions is; “SayWhaaat!!!”. The Capital Area Food Bank is a Washington D.C. charity which provides food for needy people in the area as well as support many other charitable organizations and programs focused on feeding.
