about takara's 1/6 cool-girl ex machina deunan knute
the dust hasn't even cleared for Hot Toy's 1/6th-Ex Machina Deunan Knute when Takara Hobby's Cool Girl-version (CG) Denuan has hit the net and collecting-community! [teased here] sporting rooted-hair and what seems to be "more" articulation" - HobbyLinkJapan lists it @ 19,800YEN (US$178), while Blister.jp has it @ 17,600YEN-preorder (SRP 20,790YEN). from the images tis seems the armor-attachments are removable, altho the "finishing" or "craft" may not be as detailed as Hot Toy's (witness the exposed straps on fore-arm armour-attachment) - but then again, that would explain the removable battle-armour, innit? ... will do a side-by-side visual comparison post with a HT-Denuan soon :) - as for articulation, Takara has at least managed to show that Deunan could kneel and wield her primary (compared to only "hero"-stance poses of Hot Toys'), innit? *cool* ... and in the arena of weapons, i'd love to see more details of CG/Takara's before deciding, as it seems HT's looking mighty fine compare to these ... *heh*

Its a very ordinary figure. Aside from the face sculpt the regular body is on par with past releases in the related lines. You can justify paying over 200 shipped for whats basically a cheap kitbash. I'm sure you could get the head separately and then bashed it yourself. Not that I'm resourceful with swapping heads on 1/6 figures without them breaking (looks at ZC Girl figure).
