about hard sell tour's juke-bot by bigshot toyworks

JUKEBOT_01

turntablists DJ Shadow X Cut Chemist X artist/designer Paul Insect X tireless-toymakers Bigshot Toyworks = JUKE-BOT!

based on the Hard Sell Robot poster by Paul Insect (with the animated sequence playing at DJ Shadow X Cut Chemist's Hard Sell Tour - which i still can't track down, except for these), with figure design and development by the happening-cats @ Bigshot Toyworks, and sculpting by Scott Wettershneider - this retro-vinyl-mecha (tis a jukebox, innit?) was made first in a run of 50 for the UK leg of the tour (sold out within a day, no less) and limited quantities are apparently available (while supplies last) on the current HARD SELL tour, with some possibly making it to DJ Shadow's site (in the US) some time (when? i don't rightly know, for now anyways :p)

personally, as much as i like what i see thus far, i actually like the notion of the toy more than anything else - the notion that tis based on an illustration of a poster from a musical-tour by two renowned turntablists made into a vinyl toy = *awesome* - the differing genres combined, is a connection i see in all aspects of themes and products that i blog about and perhaps have not ranted-on enough about, is made real in this toy ... but that's just me :)
