chris nolan on batman
in a way, i "pity" Bruce Wayne ... becoz he ain't getting much press lately, with the media hyped up over Ledger's Joker and now the spotlight's on Eckhart's Harvey-"Two-Face"-Dent, Bale's Batman has but merged into the shadows of Gotham's crime-infested alleys (which is actually befitting of his urban-lore, innit?) ... altho ironically, that may not be what director Chris Nolan had planned for the Dark Knight:

Mr. Nolan said he tried to make “Batman Begins” realistic by taking Wayne out of Gotham for portions of the story. For “The Dark Knight” he wanted Gotham to seem straight out of the news. “We just let everyone know up front: this is a location movie,” he said."
