dark knight updates: joker poker, milk ads, movie score and banners

I reckon instead of whining on about the frightening dilution of the Dark Knight mythos via blatant commercialization, perhaps I should look on the positive-side of these TDK-products ... like, maybe the 54 Joker-cards in the JOKER POKER SET could be used to make a nice framed collage-slash-poster? Details HERE ... or that the ad for the "Body By Milk" [via] with a milk-mustachio'd Batman actually has one of the clearer frontal-images of the Bat-armor seen thus far, IMHO

So how would the Dark Knight sound like this time around? SHH reports of "The Dark Knight Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" being released on July 15th - featuring composers Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard (im a suckah for Zimmer) - in four different configurations: (1) a standard jewel case CD, (2) a 2 LP set of heavy-weight 180 gram vinyl version, (3) a special edition digipack, and (4) a collector's edition with special artwork to come after release ... f'wah! can't imagine what the eventual DVD-release versions are gonna be innit? ... meanwhile, peep Omelete for a coupla sweet exclusive horizontal-banners featuring a Batpod'd-Bats and Joker:

Peep the Joker Poker Set prop replica from DC Direct:

The set includes a deck of 54 prop replica Joker cards (as seen in The Dark Knight film) and a standard "playable" 4-suit, 54 card deck defaced by The Joker. Also included are 100 4-color poker chips in Joker-themed colors of green, purple, red and black, and 5 dice. The entire set comes housed in a black aluminum carrying case (which locks to prevent The Joker from defacing the second set of cards), and the case is packaged in a 4-color box. A 4-color Certificate of Authenticity is also included and appears as one of the playing cards! On sale August 27th 2008 @ a SRP of US$99.99
