the resin rising experiment

The RESIN RISING EXPERIMENT is a collaboration with 3 up and coming artists in the urban art scene, and EGO Studios - with the intention of providing free rein to explore ideas and experiment with concepts of creating 3D work from their art. Generating individual ranges of limited models and designer toys that will appeal to the independent culture of designer toys, these collections will be hand sculpted and produced in a high detail PU resin. Releasing one artist range a month from July (with all three toys in different sizes).

The current line-up consists of UK-based creator/artists Matt JOnes aka Lunartik and Dinosauria [blog] and Italy-based artist El Gato Chimney [flickr] - whose first figure is shown in prototype-sculpt form here [click on images to embiggen] - and frankly, it looks pretty darn mecha-coolio thus far, IMHO - and I personally cannot wait for the colors (Product details if aand when I find them) as well as the works of the other two gentlemen.
