1/6 rah han solo by medicom toy

HAN-SOLO-RAH

Roguish Spice-Smuggler turned General of the Rebel Alliance (Han's the Man alright!), Star Wars' HAN SOLO gets his own 1/6-scaled Real Action Hero figure courtesy of Medicom Toy - slated for a February 2009-drop @ a SRP of 17,640YEN (US$164 / SGD$224) - which includes his DL-44 Pistol, and a sweet-sculpt of Harrison Ford in his youth [www]

Wish we had bigger images of his face-sculpt tho - but I reckon the constant badgering of fans and collectors of Medicom's efforts have left close-ups out of their current crop of public release (or so my conspiracy-addled mind whispers to me LOL). But yes, we all have a right to our individual expectations and opinions, of coz :p

That said, what do YOU think about THIS Han's sculpt / likeness?

  1. I was "this" close to buying the Sideshow Toys one just yesterday when I came across pics of the Medicom Han on another site.

Case closed - I'm waiting for this puppy.

IMO - Sculpt is pretty dang close.

  3. I was a little thrown by the red "bloodstripe" When I saw Han's trousers at the Smithsonian the striping was yellow.

My research leads me to believe Han got new pants between Empire & Jedi.

PS. linked to this via my LJ. The girls are HOT for it.

  4. tinister & jj = the more i look at this sculpt (not that i stare at Ford that often lol) it has a slight "anime"-aesthetic to it, IMHO :)

"My research leads me to believe Han got new pants between Empire & Jedi."

LOL - i certainly hope so! man's got ranked a general, he'd better get a new pair! LOL

  6. toysrevil - I think what gives it the slight anime feel is the neck. It's a little too slim because it looks like they gave him a ball joint where head meets neck.

I may do a little customizing to bulk out the neck (losing the ball joint).
