monster burp by peskimo x crazy label @ ttf2008 (prototype preview)

On display at the upcoming TTF'08 (and SDCC as well) would be this prototype of Peskimo's MONSTER BURP figure by Crazy Label - featuring what would be the first ever clear figure by CL (and their second collaboration since the Peskimo-Edition of the House Of Liu)

Standing 6" tall (from top to bottom) - the Burp is made by blow-molding process with semi-transparent materials, while the Monster is made by the conventional rotocasting process. Slated for a release later this year (Date TBC) - the prototype is currently under-going fine-tuning & alterations including paint specifics for it to match the Original Print (based on the Gocco print Peskimo did for Lazy Oaf in '07), as well as the burp material to be in a more milky color (but still a bit transparent) - CLICK THRU for more details of the figure's inception with my quickie-Q&A with David & Jodie (aka Peskimo) & Andy Woo (head-honcho of Crazy Label).

TOYSREVIL: Why did the monster burp? And what's that apparition coming out of his mouth? does it smell? LOL

DAVID & JODIE: Well, the little monster is a bit of a non-scary monster. He tries his hardest, bless him, but just gets in a mess when he tries to do monstery things. But when he burps, his power comes out and his burps are the scariest around! Well, the stinkiest anyway! We reckon he'd get a different type of monster burp pop out if he eats different things... maybe this one is a milky burp, so not Super scary!

TOYSREVIL: Ya Gotta lurve a burping-monster LOL - How did he come about? What was his genesis?

DAVID & JODIE: Monster Burp goes all the way back to the Lazy Oaf exhibition of the same name in Summer 2007 which asked a number of artists and the like to create a monster for a short exhibition in London. Monster Burp was our first ever Gocco print [peep] and a limited number of prints were available around the time of the exhibition, all sold out now though! Maybe we'll do a new monster burp print to celebrate the release?

TOYSREVIL: Now that'll be quite a cool full creation circle, IMHO! ... And this question is for you Andy (Woo) - would this actually be the first ever CLEAR figure for Crazy Label? And how did this project come about?

ANDY WOO: Yay it is sorta the first ever clear figure by Crazy Label and it was one of my dream project.  :-)  Seriously, this is our 2nd collaboration with the design duo Peskimo from UK.  I like their works a lot and I'm so happy to see the prototypes.

TOYSREVIL: As happy as we all are to see it's inception, I reckon! Cheers for your time David, Jodie and Andy - looking forward to be seeing more of MONSTER BURP soon!
