zvr symmetry of war
Hauntingly gorgeous symmetry in the form of images taken of Ashley Wood's ZvR BERTIE (Zombie versus Robot) aka WARBOT by my fellow-fans in the WWR Flickr-group - featuring featuring SionaShot's stark and deadly double-blader mecha-ninja-zen sweetness [above] dubbed "ANGEL", and MezeMau_gar's ominous twin-pistola wielding badassness [below] - I can even smell the powderburn on them smokin' barrels... = *coolness*
ZvR is available @ IDW for US$350 - which includes Free Shipping for current orders placed until September 18th (Domestic & International *wow*) ... Ashley's parting shot [via Bambablog]: "...get em while you can, lets face it, how will your ZvR Zombies figures from 3A feel when they dont have a bot to play with..... kind f**ked im sure." [*Note the words in Bold]
[*NOTE: The ZvR figure set includes only a single handgun and NO blade.
the additional accessories shown belong to WWR Dirty Deeds Bertie.]
Man, I'd love to get my hands on a ZvR Bertie, but $350? As cheap as that is in ££s, it's still ruddy expensive! I wonder if they'd ever consider releasing a cheaper DIY version - that would save on production costs, given the complex paint scheme they have going :)
ReplyDeleteThe paint scheme of the ZvR looks much less labor intensive than that of Dirty Deeds and Desert Rat which have a lot more of hand painted accents.
ReplyDeleteThe ZvR looks more airbrushed. So the price difference should have another origin.
(Custom head sculpt, more limited edition, IDW wants a piece etc. (?))
That doesn't make it a less desirable figure, though.
It looks awesome and I am very happy with the fact I had the change to lay may hands on one.
The ZvR Warbot is a great looking figure, though. With all 3 of the variants side by side, I honestly like this one the best. It's metallic sheen is just awesome. I also do like the fact that they produced a completely new head in order to translate the comic version authentically.
ReplyDeleteI pretty much agree with ezramyl
