about that armor painter of hot toys' mark 1: joseph tsang
The artist holding the designation of "Armor Painter" for Hot Toy's 1/6-scaled IRON MAN MARK 1 action figure - should get his fair share of the credit and accolades (along with TJ Cha, Yulli and JC Hong for the headsculpt of Tony Stark) - and by the 1/6th-gawds sculptor/painter/artist Joseph Tsang is gonna get it, and I'm here to pimp it LOL!
Having worked on previous Aliens-related properties for HT (including 1/6 Dog Alien, Machiko, Predalien, Aliens busts etc) Joseph is adept at rendering distressed battle-worn surfaces (extraterrestrial or otherwise) and the "made in a terriorist-guarded cave with scrap-parts" Mark-1 armor certainly fits to a tidy-T, IMHO. Desert-Stark would be so proud :)

Yes, there is fabric-clothes underneath the armor
- too bad the suit cannot be seperated, yeh? :p

And here's a little "bonus" development pics of Joseph's work on Machiko - the She Predator:
