blockbob eater by eboy

Best known to the urban art toy-community for their PEECOL character-creations made with Kidrobot, eBoy now has a spanking new toy out (first one made by eBoy themselves), and he's made of wood!
BLOCKBOB-EATER

First seen as a prototype a whiles back (along with a series of fellow "Blockbobs" / PEEP) - the just-launched BLOCKBOB EATER has been designed and manufactured by eBoy. Made out of Swiss maple wood, EATER stands 8.5" tall and is limited to 70 pieces. Each figure comes signed and numbered, and is currently available @ the eBoy online shop priced at 128 EUROS each (US$174). Kai from eBoy also mentions that Kidrobot will carry the figure as well. (cheers for the headsup, kai!)

I can't really determine how the body-blocks fit together tho, besides the obvious "stacking" on top of each other (unlike previous prototype where slots were created) ... perhaps the "eBoy" logo underneath each blocks has another unseen slot? hhmmm

The little Eater-pendant familiar wrapped around the figure's wrist looks pretty nifty (quasi-Jade pendant-like, innit?), and the digital "after-meal" stain on the bod is a hoot, IMHO.

Am liking the retro-vibe of the block-toy, very reminiscent of old-skool vintage wooden building-blocks of my childhood decades past, but now imbued and empowered with urban iconography = *tres-cool*, IMHO. Here's hoping the eBoys'll make the rest of their wooden brethren somewhere down the line (at a more economical price, perhaps) ... Meanwhile, CLICK THRU for more pics :)
