lazy for adiartist @ adidas originals concept store, raffles city (sept 27-28)
"Maggots" overran the adidas Originals Concept Store @ Raffles City between September 27-28th 2008 - or rather the theme of maggots were used as iconology by local urban-artist LAZY for his adiartist session, wrapping up the final leg of the month-long event held in Singapore (Sept - Oct 2008). In stark black on white, faceless faux fly-larvae wriggled their way thru the shop-floor displays and into folks' fashion-subconsciousness, with the showcased apparels and customed-sneakers.
The primary installation that greeted shoppers were the cushioned-"maggots" - inspired by "Maggot Therapy" (known/recognized as medicinal use for cleaning non-healing wounds by utilizing disinfected maggots). For his "live" demo session, LAZY adorned the mural space with adilazy maggots bursting thru the adidas logo = *neatorama*.
