AFA08-PRESS RELEASE: Anime fans visiting the Animax booth will get an exclusive ‘behind-the-scenes’ peek into LaMB, Animax Asia’s first multimedia, multiplatform original animation production in high definition, as production storyboards are unveiled to the public for the very first time! Fans can also purchase limited edition LaMB posters, specially designed by Singapore concept art and illustration studio Imaginary Friends Studios which is producing web manga and concept art for LaMB. AFA08-PRESS RELEASE: home grown concept art and illustration studio, Imaginary Friends Studios (IFS) will launch “The Pepper Project”, an art book dedicated to Pepper, a popular female character created and made popular by digital artist Artgerm at AFA08. “The Pepper Project” art book features a comprehensive gallery of Artgerm’s many recognized and admired Pepper drawings. It also showcases works by well-known artists invited to contribute pieces paying homage to the Pepper character, in addition to 100 winning entries selected from more than a thousand submissions by fans and art enthusiasts. Various artists from IFS will be conducting live art demonstrations at their booth, showcasing their artistic skills and creative abilities. There seems to be quite a bit of manga / comics presence, but I could not discern beyond the various banner-filled empty stalls waiting to be set up on Day Zero of AFA08. Hopefully I'll be able to rustle up some coverage today? (I'd missed out the entire comics-scene at Singapore Toy & Comic Con 08, and it still bugs me til now LOL).
