Medicom Toy's BE@RBRICKS SERIES 17 [www] sees brands and folks, such as artist Alexander Girard, PLUSheads inc, K-20 Film Partners, GKN/AKTD, SCEI, Rolito/Interlink and even Disney contributing to one of the more recognized platform toy-forms in modern times (IMHO). Scehduled for a December-drop, the 7cm tall Be@rbrick retails for ¥399 (SGD$10) per blind-box. Be on a look-out for mystery-chase figures (which will be revealed by rabid-fans and retailers once the toy is released LOL).
Frankly, I was hoping (and expecting) to see Be@rbricks at the recent pass weekend's Anime Festival Asia 2008 [tagged] - since the e-release was so close to the event and all, innit? But alas, there was ZERO presence at the Medicom Toy / Toys N Toys-display. Oh well, our loss then, innit? Bah.
