t-boy vinyl by shin tanaka x one-up (1st prototype peek)
Here's a peek at Shin Tanaka's upcoming vinyl toy for 2009! Produced by One-Up; T-BOY is shown here with a clear vinyl body (*gasp*) and an "outer"-tee - ala Shin's papertoy of the same name (FYI: this product is a decidedly different from the one produced by Play Imaginative). Of coz I hadda bug Shin to find out more!
The exact release date for 2009 is undetermined at this point, with the image shown here the 1st prototype - with modifications have to be made still, and colors to be decided. Shin also mentions that availability will more likely be via One-Up online and/or shopfront. Tentative quantity is pegged at 50-pcs for the 1st release, which by no means is the final definite number, yeah?
Will there be different colored clear vinyl for the main-body? Will it even BE clear vinyl in the final version? What would the design print be like on the tee? How many designs are there? ~ Hopefully TRE will be able to find the answers to these questions as we move into 2009. Meanwhile the One-Up blog traces the figure's development with loadsa WIP-pics (making me wish I understood Japanese!).
