  1. About time! Now if they would release the normal version of Scud I'd get it. That Maxx is beyond ugly.

  2. Wait, Shocker Toys will actually have products to sell? Blimey, that's a first.

  3. Sjors, you obviously have not seen the painted version of the Maxx. Maybe you should check out their front page.

  4. Just checked... nope still ugly.

  5. Ummmm yea. Maybe you should clean your contact lenses. I think your Parent's basement might be a bit too dusty. Can we get a non-anonymous confirmation....excluding me!

  6. It's ugly. All their stuff is ugly.

  7. It's funny how Shocker Toys always have figures ready for Con exclusives but never a full line.
If these are made from the same molds and the same factory as the regular line, why weren't they subject to all the same "delays" that have kept IS in the ether for 2 years.
But just in time for a convention Shocker pulls out two crappy figures to overprice. The real proof will be in their packaging...which I bet are ziplock bags.

  9. These links give an idea of what sort of company Shocker Toys is, and what sort of person Geoff Beckett is:

Personal insults, fake legal threats, lies about how far along the product is to generate pre-sales, scams to try to get shops to place orders for non-existent products, not paying web designers and sculptors, spamming forums and blogs; these are the all too common practices associated with Shocker Toys.

Is this the type of person you want your hard earned money going to when there are so many other great artists and companies putting out incredible products?

  10. Those links give you an idea how crazy some of these trolls are. What is next will they kidnap Shocker Toys CEO and hold him ransom for Indie Spotlight. Get a life trolls.

  11. I see that you have no answer to the substance of what I posted so you resort to personal attacks; is that you Geoff Beckett?
Try not being so cowardly and signing your name to what you post.

Delays happen all the time to every company.
Pretending that your product hasn't been delayed, that it is very near completion when it hasn't even begun production and actively soliciting pre-orders on the false impression you are generating, is FRAUDULENT behavior.
Doing this over and over and over again and not expecting anyone to notice, is Shocker Toys behavior.

  12. From the FTC website:

    http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre28.shtm

    Ship Dates

    * By law, a merchant should ship your order within the time stated in its ads or over the phone. If the merchant doesn't promise a time, you can expect it to ship your order within 30 days.
    * The shipment "clock" begins when the merchant receives a "properly completed order." That includes your name, address and payment (check, money order or authorization to charge an existing credit account - whether the account is debited at that time or not).
    * If the merchant doesn't promise a shipping time and you are applying for credit to pay for your purchase, the merchant has an additional 20 days (50 days total) to establish the account and ship the merchandise.

    Delays

If the merchant is unable to ship within the promised time, it must notify you by mail, telephone, or email, give a revised shipping date and give you the chance to cancel for a full refund or accept the new shipping date. The merchant also must give you some way to exercise the cancellation option for free, for example, by supplying a prepaid reply card or staffing a toll-free telephone number.

    * If you ignore the option notice, and the delay is 30 days or less, it's assumed that you accept the delay and are willing to wait for the merchandise.
    * If you do not respond - and the delay is more than 30 days - the order must be canceled by the 30th day of the delay period and a full refund issued promptly.

If the merchant can't meet the revised shipping date, it must notify you again by mail, email or telephone and give you a new shipping date or cancel your order and give you a refund.

    * The order will be canceled and a refund issued promptly unless you indicate by the revised shipping date that you are willing to wait.
    * If you do not respond at all to the second notice, it's assumed that you are not willing to wait, and a full refund must be issued promptly.

    Refunds

If you authorized a charge to your credit card account, the merchant must credit the account within one billing cycle - not give credit toward another purchase. If you pay by cash, check or money order, the merchant must mail you a refund within seven working days.

  13. Shocker Toys has never released a line of product that had over 1000 pieces afaik. According to the Wikipedia talk back, as well.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Shocker_Toys#Released_Products

I think this is a perfect indication of what this "company" is all about. Small run of overpriced stuff for Conventions...just enough to convince people that they have product just around the corner.

Hey Geoff, Con is short for Convention, not Conman.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'd like to comment on these but I don't want to be sued.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I do.

But I like to watch monkeys shoot themselves too.

    ReplyDelete
  16. And the monkey pulled the trigger! How's the foot Geoff? You the first man I have ever seen simultaneously shoot yourself in the foot while it was stuffed in your mouth!

Shocker Toys will not be attending NYCC because their NYCC exclusives have been held up by Chinese New Year, or Diamond's mistake, or Net Trolls, or the boat sank...oh who are we kidding, they are being held up because Geoff didn't pay the bills.
So as you can see, he really needs your pre-order money, right now! Hurry, Pizza Hut is on their way!!
