Deconstructor Pusher custom by Cris Rose for Multiple Personalities 2 @ LiFT

The Deconstructor is a standard reclamation unit, programmed to salvage useful parts from construction vehicles through to the most advanced robots. Using an array of millimeter wavelength radar and optical sensors, their vision is unparalleled when examining tiny perforations and tears in potentially salvageable components.

The "Deconstructor" is a custom 6" Pusher completed by Cris Rose for LIFT Detroit's Multiple Personalities 2 group custom show (opened May 9 / exhibits thru June 4). Cris "had" me at the mind-boggling robot-hand details (as suggested by Lunabee). CLICK THRU for the rest of the story, and for full images of the custom :)

Some units were specially equipped with the ability to fly. These would be set loose to recover rogue robots that either malfunctioned and ran amok, or simply refused to report to the Refacilitation Plant for Integrated Resource Reassignment. Buy using cutting lasers and deceptively strong and nimble arms, a sizable robot could be stripped for parts in 15 minutes, anywhere, with a full structural and electrical report supplied for every part.
