Men From N.O.M. Gasmask Sneaked?
The current header-image for the threeA production-blog shows a sneakie-peekie of the gasmask (with tri duo-hose awesomeness) of their upcoming MEN FROM N.O.M 2-figure set [tagged / photoshop -brightened by your's truly] - which is essentially a representation of both key principals of 3A Toys: artist/creator Ashley Wood and threezero head-honcho Kim. Currently there are no tangible production stats or dates determined.
I have a funny feeling these dudes will be clad in the mask and helmet previewed thus far, as well as decked out in suits, or at the very least long menacing trenchcoats - very much along the lines of what Kim did for his figure back in 2003, IMHO. Will await further reveals :)
UPDATE: The duo-hose or triple-hose outlet "question" is bugging me somewhat (enough to attempt a exploratory-sketch or three :p). Logic dictates that two "tusk"-like hoses would already make an impressive impression (sketch-right) with the hose leading out to the back (maybe? otherwise dudes may be front-heavy?) .... but a third-hose attached to the body or a machine-strapped to the chest or suit, may make for an interesting variation (sketch-left) ... or maybe my mind is too wrapped up in "Dune" and should just let go and wait for the eventual full-reveal like everyone else, innit? *sigh*

ReplyDeleteI'm leaning toward the two tusk hose gas mask sketch on the right. I'm not sure if "functionality" is big on character design (looking back on the last few years of toys) but I think either hose system would work for the NOM guys.
