CHIPP Specimen S002 [Launch Party] by Jamungo (July 13-drop)
Who doesn't admire a well-dressed perp totting an RPG with a candypop-orange missile? Dressed to the nines (no, Specimens don't need no pants becoz they be cool pant-less Specimens) - the Project Squadt CHIPP SPECIMEN S002 [LAUNCH PARTY] has a tentative release date of July 13th 2009.

And while quantity for this edition has been increased to 200 units (which may mean a sigh of relief for many who'd missed it the few times around) - so too has the price. Chipp Specimen S002 is the first of three Launch Party-Squadts to be released, and will be now priced at US$75-per (shipped) = primarily to cover the shipping-expense (which were "killing" the producers in the prior releases). But frankly, I do not think this will make much of a difference as it will no doubt be still snapped up with a twitch of the trigger-finger, IMHO.

FYI: This is the first time the RPG is being released, and yes, the
"Launch Party" Squadts were really named after the rocket-launcher!
TRE-IMPRESSIONS: The entire sold out Squadt-series is undoubtably one of the more desirable wants on the TRE Toy-Wish-List, and this upcoming Launch Party Squadts totally kick it up an (unfortunately unattainable) notch ... or three, IMHO!
If you've happened to have missed out on the previous releases, this may well be a good time to start collecting - at the very least the Chipp Specimen begins a "new" set of three styled Specimens, yeh? IMHO anyways :)

ReplyDeleteI don't mind the price increase at all. Even though I don't have any of these in hand (yet), they appear to be incredible well-made and designed figures.
