Vinyl Pulse scored an exclusive first look at a 10 inch tall DRAGON BOY vinyl art toy by Sam Flores created for Upper Playground’s 10th Anniversary and produced by The Loyal Subjects. The figure is based on a painting seen at his recent LA show at Subliminal projects - reports VP. Currently no further product details nor drop dates besides the scheduled August/September drop - with the figure shipped in a double-sided window box inclusive of a scenic card insert.


Personally, by virtue of it's displayability (love the image above of the tri-part figure set - how long again?) and visual play of forms, this transcends a mere toy, and would indeed be worthy of the term "Art Toy", IMHO.
