DESCRIPTION: Set with the task of measuring, sketching and generally recording all information about any new species encountered by the expedition. Nathaniel is however easily bored and distracted. This low attention span makes him prone to flights of fancy. Which sees most of his animal renderings sporting gratuitously fashionable waistcoats. Collaboration with Chris Ryniak.

Erasmus-Swift

NAME-OF-CUSTOM: Erasmus Swift - Entomologist
STATUS: US$1,600 (Sale Pending)
MEDIUM: Custom Creative Peeples toy, vinyl, copper, brass, lead, rubber, cloth, steel, Polymer Clay, found objects
SIZE: 9.50 inches high

DESCRIPTION: If it's small and creeps or flutters then Erasmus is intrigued. How do these little things move about without the need for winding key or furnace stoking? Surely a proper study of the non mechanical native species of the planet Victoria could provide a wealth of new technologies. Plus the prettier specimens look so arresting mounted up in little frames in one's study.

Mechidoptera-02
Mechidoptera-03

NAME-OF-CUSTOM: Mechidoptera
STATUS: US$500
MEDIUM: Polymer Clay, silver, steel, lead, brass, silk, found objects, vintage wooden case
SIZE: 3.50 inch high

DESCRIPTION: The studies of Erasmus Swift have lead to the experimentation with new forms of Mechtorian. Smaller and more agile than previously created. This is the first example which was able to take to the air. ( Though admittedly with the additional aid of rotating blade assemblies as the research on wings is still proving problematic. ) The maiden flight of the Mechidoptera was woefully short-lived as it made the mistake of taking an objectionable interest in some jammy scones and was swatted by a maid.
