Nemoids @ SDCC 2009 (Hollow Moon booth F09)
NEMOIDS [www] are "huge steel automatons from the depths of the ocean. Theses robotic deep sea explorers are based on classic diving helmets and other vintage sea iconography."
These 5 inch articulated figures were on display at San Diego Comic Con @ the Hollow Moon booth F09, in a variety of colors (above-right / peep full-(uncropped)-image on flickr). According to the Nemoids-website (pic via), a blank version is also available for customization (*Cool*) while the "SinkTank" (in patina finish) is a production piece). Unsure if the rest of the colored-pieces are production pieces too tho.
Am liking the quasi-animated cartoon mecha quality of the design (be it anime or western retro-bot style) - while not your "traditional" art toy genre, but still intetresting nevertheless, and def looks like fun to customize, IMHO :)
