Toys for SDCC 2009 (Part Three: Coverage from Toybot Studios)
Now, I can always "count" on Kirkland Jue of Toybot Studios for coverage of all-things kaiju, non-Western (which he also does cover) and Japanese toys, and his intense coverage of the recent SDCC was, well intense! In addition to the various handpaints and customs on show at the Gargamel booth @ SDCC [viewable directly via TBS] - there were production pieces as well, notably Koji Hamon aka Cometdebris' TOKOJI SEIJIN in yummy lime green, Le Merde's BANGAL and Martin Ontiveros' purple and grey OJO ROJO
Secret Base released a new colorway of DR MORTALITY by Chris Trevino (a hugely nicer colorway than the TTF-pink, IMHO) and the X-RAY MC by Ron English (held by Hiddy from Secret Base / above-right). Would've loved to see the skeletal insides underneath the fig, but figured I might get hooked, so just as well ... heh. Handpaints in Bronze Patina and Patina MONGOLION by LAMOURSupreme. I think the awesome-visage is enough. Go bug Kirkland about it's origins or availability while I go take a cold, cold shower ... heh.
