Wish Upon The Stars Clone Trooper Custom Helmets On Auction Now (Bids Ending Aug 29)
The Wish Upon The Stars Clone Trooper Helmets seen on display at the Starwars.sg booth @ STGCC (previously blogged / www) has since gone on auction online via Ebay.com.sg with final bids ending Saturday August 29th.
The organizers had decided to go by way of getting celebrities and performing artists to customize 1:1 sized Clone Trooper helmets (compared to "traditional" artists ala Vader Project) with the list including singer JJ Lin, artists from Fly Entertainment, and even Mr Teo Ser Luck (Mayor, North East District, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports & Ministry of Transport). The lone "representative" of the art-toy scene is DEVILROBOTS.
And while this may not exactly be have the same the verve of customs "we" have been used to seeing (especially on TRE) - it is nevertheless for a worthy cause. So support and bid if you can afford to! Meanwhile, CLICK THRU for a closer look at select custom-painted helmets.
WHAT-IS: Wish.Upon.The.Stars is a fund-raising programme organised by the local Star Wars community from Starwars.sg and the 501st Legion Singapore Garrison to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation® (Singapore). Proceeds will help grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
