PRESS: Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale award-winning and published illustration student Cassie "Kazilla" Williams, along with graphic artist Mike Franco, founder of WST Worldwide, are planning a unique art extravaganza, "Multiversal Group Show," December 3-6, 2009, 5-10pm, at the American Legion in the Miami Modern District, 6445 NE 7th Ave, Miami, FL 33138, during Art Basel Miami. Admission is free.

PRESS-CONTINUED: What makes this different from all the other Art Basel presentations? "The Multiversal Group Show is expected to feature over 150 local and international artists in eight rooms," says Williams. She continues, "We wanted to also include the Miami premiere of the Los Angeles Feminality Art Show , a custom art toy expo featuring some of the top toy customizers in the business, live painting by the uber popular Tara McPherson, Buff Monster, Kano, Phetus, Mear One and more, a South Florida room showcasing local famous talent (such as Skot Olsen), live music during and after gallery hours featuring iMayDay!, Fusik, Shawn Chrystopher among others, and the 'School of Hard Knocks' which highlights the best and brightest art by students, alumni and professional faculty from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and the Miami International University of Art & Design. "

Come and see the first live art exhibition done with live models, full body painting along with over the top hair. December 3rd-6th each day with a different theme, from the sprit of Tribal to the romantic robotics of Steam Punk. Live Body painting will be done by Georgette Pressler of Devious Body Art, the amazing hair will be finished by Melrose Telles of Cosmo and Company Salon and Spa and photography by Tara Hauck of Tara Inc. Fine Arts Photography.

Part of the exhibition proceeds will benefit Hands Up Not Handouts [www], an organization that mentors women of the world in the design and production of unique, one-of-a-kind goods. The initiative focuses on women artisans who translate their traditional handicrafts into high-quality and innovative products that can be marketed at a premium price, using the profits to support their families and communities.
