TRE-Exclusive First Look at Munny Bot by Cris Rose
So when UK-artist / customizer Cris Rose goes all-"quiet" on the online front, you know he's cooking up something, especially to up his own game, and with this TRE-Exclusive First Peek at the blank prototype of his upcoming MINI MUNNY BOT, Cris continues to yet again wow the independent toy-producing arena, IMHO.
Made to fit a Mini Munny production body, the first ever release will be in the form of a one-off custom available via his online store sometime next week. One of the biggest differences between this resin bot and the previous Dunny-based ones (Observation Drones / shown above-right), is that the head is now articulated and as posable as the original.
The second version of the Mini Munny Bot is in progress too, along with collaborations with two other as-yet-revealed artists as well! BACKSTORY:
One of his most striking features is the dome on his head, showing off his robo-brain. This was originally only a feature of the prototype unit while they debugged it, but the focus groups liked the fact that they could see his brain ticking over so much, it was left in the final product.
Sold as the Clear Vision Mk1, this observation drone packed enough processing hardware to interpret what it was seeing and relay back a primary analysis, instead of just raw sensor like the smaller observation drones. It also allowed the inclusion of additional skyward sensors with a full panorama, tho at much lower information levels than the primary unit.
Losing some of the speed and stealth of his smaller brothers, this unit became very popular in emergency zones, such as post earthquake or tsunami, as the pre-processing done on board saved the rescue workers valuable minutes.
