Space Battleship Yamato New Poster & Website Images
Since my last feature and trailer for the upcoming live-action feature film adaptation of the classic japanese cartoon Space Battleship Yamato, the official film website @ www.yamato-movie.net has updated a new image, featuring what seems to be a grounded Yamato (along with a countdown timer for the movie's premiere in December 2010), and another featuring Takuya Kimura (as "Susumu Kodai") in the foreground of the same image. Takuya Kimura (from J-pop group SMAP) is "Susumu Kodai", Space Battleship Yamato's Tactical Unit Leader, and is the younger brother of Space Destroyer Yukikaze's Captain "Mamoru Kodai". [wiki]

ReplyDeleteI wonder if this will be released in the states, I was such a fan of the animation when I was a kid. If I remember correctly the ship was encrusted in the surface, that was once the sea, and they lived under ground and accessed it from underneath to refurbish it and make it a space ship. That is what it looks like the image may be of.
