CLEA 2010: Character & Licensing Expo Asia in Thailand - Now Named: Creative IP Fair & CLEA2010 (Sept 3-5)
After the unfortunate political crisis in Thailand, which led to the postponement of the event ~ CLEA 2010 [www.clea.asia / tagged] is now back on track, with a new event date scheduled to begin Friday September 3rd and exhibits thru Sunday 5th, 2010 @ Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon, Thailand.
CLEA2010 will be now be part of the Department of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Commerce event (*With full support from DIP, MOC). The new name of this combined show is "Creative IP Fair & CLEA2010" which include part of MOC's IP Fair such as the "His Majesty the King" exhibition, Thai IP products Fair, and stage activities with some concert from local popular bands.
The CLEA2010 portion of the event include the Character & Licensng Fair, a CE Exhibition from 100 fnalists (50 International / 50 Thai Designers), a Live contest zone for 10 Finalists and the other contests. Also included in the program are at least 6 conferences about Character & License topics, a License clinic, among others.
Unfortunately due to the revised budget and government regulation, previously announced categories such as "World Art Toys", "World Character Fest" (and others) have been cancelled. The CLEA-Team mentions that they will try their utmost best to reach the expectations for the next show!
