Painted Masks by Skinner for This Fear You May Know @ White Walls Gallery (Aug 14)
An update from Gabriel since our last featuring fully painted-masks by Skinner, whose "This Fear You May Know" is opening August 14th @ White Walls Gallery. The masks will be made available at US$300 each at the gallery, and online sbsequently.
GABRIEL: "Skinner had 30 vacuum formed plastic masks made for the show (5 designs/6 paint variations of each). These are made of a thick and sturdy plastic unlike the cheap halloween masks many of us wore growing up in the '70's and '80's, oh how we loved/hated them (more on that later...). This is just one of them. It measures approx. 18"x18" and about 4" deep just like most of them do, while some are a little smaller at 18"x10"." [plasticmasks@gmail.com]
