Seen @ Munny World Festival Indonesia @ Plastic Culture (Day Zero)
Arriving in Jakarta, Indonesia - Thursday last on September 23rd, amidst the infamous traffic-jam (which wasn't so bad really, I insist ;p), I headed down to the event venue at Plastic Culture in the evening (after a well-needed afternoon nap *cough*) to have a look-see at the set-up on Level One of Grand Indonesia (East Mall - by gawds was it a huge mall!). The shop-space and main-stage were a hustle and bustle of activity in preparation before the launch the next day, with deboxing and displaying of custom-Munnys, setting up of banners etc. T'was the calm before the storm for the next three days to come. Pretty darn exciting for my first trip to Jakarta!

The Main Event Stage (outside and away from the main shop-space) where a Press / Media Conference will be held on launch day / evening, and used subsequently for festivities related to MWFI, including the On The Spot Custom Contest, prize giving, as well as the venue for my "Talk Show" on Sunday afternoon ~ yes, you read it right; "Talk Show" (half an hours' worth of trepidation!).

The Plastic Culture shop itself was buzzing with activity, not lest of which were the arranging of custom-Munny submissions, and what a collection of amazing pieces they were too! (No over-hyping here folks!) As well the presence of artists who popped by the shop to drop off their submissions, which was uber-cool as I had the chance to meet a few, including famed-G.I.Joe artist Chris Lee (whose MegaMunny custom is framed amongst a number of images above / full-reveal forthcoming)
And since this was the "Munny World Festival Indonesia", there were plenty customed-Munnys all over the shop! Although the event has been concluded (and a week "old"), I'd still share some teasers below, with the subsequent "full-on reveal" in another blog-post.

But it was not all fun-n-games, as the place still needs to be set-up for the launch the very next day! The guys worked amidst the darkened mall-space past closing time to set-up display pedestals, and whatever it needed to make Munny World Festival Indonesia a rocking event to be had by one and all!
