Custom Works on TOYSREVIL (Jan/8/2011)
From Bob Conge comes a unique custom dubbed MICKEYBABY MARSHMALLOW KAIJU - scheduled for a Monday January 10th release on http://plaseebo.net - this 12" tall custom (by 6.5" wide) is priced at US$850 and comes Singed and Numbered 1 of 1 edition. Hand built of vinyl and hand cast resin with plastic eye inserts and a motion activated internal led unit.
I have long been an admirer of Melita Curphy aka Miss Monster Mel's works since her various resin toy releases with Patch Together [tagged], and the above custom-Dunny is a surprising delight. Unfortunately it is a private commission, while the below 6.5" custom painted Blue Foo Dog is currently sold out on http://missmonster.bigcartel.com.
Fledgling toy-customizer Mario Iglesias (of Uberz) shares with us his latest and first Munny-custom for 2011 - dubbed "J.4.K.3" - showcasing a "distressed/rusty/steampunk look". Mario would like to get out there more into the toy world, and all I haveta say is - Keep doing what you're doing dude! As long as YOU are happy with your work and standard.

Matt Walker aka Dead Presidents Design sure is a busy man! Soon after the release of his new colorway Cosmic Squadron, he is now out and about with the release of his cool custom collabs, last seen in Tokyo. Check out http://www.deadpresidentsdesigns.bigcartel.com to see what is left purchasable, specifically The Sunguts x DP Suiko "Crazy Circus" Racers shown above. (FYI: The color-collab with LeMerde's BURGERBUNS is still available at time of post tho). All customs are completed with Monster Kolor's pearlescent sprays.
And while the "Addams Family Show" group art show happens January 7th @ Wootini Gallery, we get a closer online look at Doktor A's custom remained "THING" in all it's glory! "This 8" tall sculptural piece is accompanied by two small paintings of Morticia and Fester as part of a group exhibition inspired by America's favourite spooky family."
Simply awesome work as always!
